We’re all guilty of not listening at one time or another and as teachers, listening to our students is a crucial step in creating a safe, respectful environment. Use less words, teach more skills! Simplify and enhance your teaching of motor skills in this active and interactive session. This upbeat session is designed to provide you with two essential teaching techniques that you can learn quickly and use immediately to more efficiently develop the physical competence of your students.
This session is focused on teaching techniques that help teachers become more efficient at developing the physical competence of their students. Physical educators can increase student activity time (i.e., the time they need to learn skills), reduce instruction time and reduce management time by using quality demonstrations. Quality demonstrations also support congruent feedback that is essential for skill learning (Rink, 2003). Participants will be able to perform quality demonstrations, identify phases of movements, and deliver congruent feedback by the end of this active and interactive session. The session will also touch on the emerging research examining the use of video feedback to support motor learning, self-assessment and motivation (Potdevin et al., 2018).
This session will introduce transgender identity and the associated social issues of being transgender. The lecture will cover topics such as preferred gender pronouns, what it means to identity as a transgender person, what it’s like for a transgender person in a cisgender society.

Continued Growth of Pickleball in Schools through After School Programs;
The growth in pickleball has seen a tremendous involvement with schools and PE Teachers. Pickleball representatives continue to get involved in workshops and classes teaching to Physical Educators throughout the year.
When we started our program 2 years ago we were faced with one common question, where can we play?
Today, across the country more courts are available on the local level primarily through Parks and Rec and converted tennis courts on school grounds.
Today, the question is, how can we develop programs such as league play, tournaments, and family events for pickleball and the kids.
We are actively creating these things through weekend and after school programs, we are including players as young as 8 years old to play in USAPA sanctioned events.
Our National Pickleball Tournament, held each year in Indian Wells, CA included tournament level play for our youth, we had also set aside 2 days of our 11 day event dedicated to kids, one day was spend in a child parent event, another was a "Play with the Pros" event.
We are no longer the sport played by retirees at RV Parks. We are truly a life long game that focuses on physical literacy with our youth.
